Lotto Plus Results Draw

Does anybody need to know the Lotto plus 5 results draw? I was shown a website yesterday that compiles and saves all of the national lottery results from all of the draws. It’s such an amazing services because in the past i used to have to visit up to 5 different websites each week just to keep track of all the different results that take place on all the different days. It was such a pain in the neck that I almost gave up playing for a while, but now I’m happy that i can keep playing the lottery without all the stress of searching for the numbers for hours.

Now I will have more time to do the things i like, rather than just chasing numbers around a PC monitor as i have been doing. For example, tonight I’m going to poach some smoked salmon and smoked haddock and back a fish pie covered in fluffy mashed potatoes and served in a creamy sauce delicately flavoured with tarragon and cayenne pepper. Now thats a much more worthwhile and productive way to spend my time, what will you do with the time you save?

My Guilty Pleasure!

I'm a little bit embarrassed, and at the same time completely proud and happy to admit that my guilty pleasure is Mr JT himself - Justin Timberlake.

I got into *N Sync in my very early teens and loved Justin when he had the big silly curly hair, and everyone thought I had bad taste.

Then he got his head shaved, *N Sync released a remix of 'Girlfriend' with Nelly and it was R'n'B for Mr JT from there on up!

At first I had my reservations about him acting, but he's pretty decent. I've not seen 'In Time' yet but I've heard good things about him, even my Dad watched it and said you sort of forget that the character is actually Justin!

I'm an adult now, so I've filled up a little r4 sdhc card - a 32GB one so not that little - with his albums, songs he's featured on with people like Timbaland and so on, and now as many of his movies that I can get my hands on. That way it's all hidden on one small item, rather than bursting all over my room like when I was younger!

Monsters

I'm looking forward to watching Monsters later via sky.com/hd. I’ve heard very positive things about it, the film getting good reviews from even the Guardian! Monsters has been compared to District 9, Neill Blomkamp’s apartheid satire which similarly featured aliens in a post-awe spirit. In the film Nasa has received news that there is alien life on the galaxy and sent out a probe which returned to earth bearing alien seeds and spores which begin to grow in the place where the probe crashes, Mexico. The viewer will not be told whether or not the USA planned it to crash elsewhere, on Mexican territory, or whether that was a mistake. What does develop is a hostile attitude from the USA towards Mexico.

A photojournalist named Kaulder has been commissioned to photograph the aliens and their human victims and has been assigned his boss’s daughter Samantha to bring with him. Hating her at first, their relationship begins to change as their time together progresses. The film is a very postmodern sci-fi in that the approach to the monsters is very downbeat; they are not the focus of the film. The focus is the developing love story between the two protagonists as they journey through dangerous alien-ridden Mexico.

Green as disease and misfortune

Green has often been associated with decay. When playing the role of Dracula in the 1927-8 production, Bela Lugosi wore green-tinted makeup. Green tinged skin is associated with sickness and so an ill person may sometimes be described as looking ‘green around the gills’. In many Far East cultures, green is also seen as a symbol of sickness or nausea.

Green is also seen to be quite an unlucky colour in Britain and the Commonwealth. Green cards, theatre costumes, and wedding dresses are regarded with superstition. In the Celtic tradition it was avoided in clothing in totality for it was strongly believed to be a harbinger of misfortune and death. In English folklore, green was associated with evil and devilry as it was associated with witchcraft. Lucky there are no gu 10 green light bulbs to be tarnished with the same negative associations! When green is combined with gold, the two together represent the fading of youth.

Holiday Booked!

No, I haven't had a massive pay off from a Rowan Dartington investment, but I have managed to wangle myself a great deal on a holiday!

It's not quite the Bahamas, but we're hopefully going to have a great time with some old-school Italian glamour on the Amalfi Coast!

The reviews website says the area is best known for its "dramatic coastal scenery deep gorges, violently-shaped rocks that plunge into a deep blue sea," which all sounds good to me! I just want to kick back and relax in a beautiful new environment.

I've only been to Rome in Italy before, and this looks quite different! From what I can see online the scenery does look quite dramatic, so I'll be sure to charge up my camera and take lots of photos.

We're there for 10 days, so we might take a couple of day trips to Sorrento and Naples too!
